|Description:||PPT Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Systems Analyst in Annandale, VA. This position is contingent on task order award. The candidate will analyze and develop computer systems possessing a wide range of capabilities, including numerous engineering, business and records management functions. Develop plans for automated information systems from project inception to conclusion. Analyze user interfaces, maintain hardware and software performance tuning, analyze workload and computer usage, maintain interfaces with outside systems, analyze downtimes, analyze proposed system modifications, upgrades and new COTS. Analyze the problem and the information to be processed. Defines the problem, and develops system requirements and program specifications, from which programmers prepare detailed flow charts, programs, and tests. The System Analyst will provide technical and administrative direction for personnel performing software development tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards, and for progress in accordance with schedules. Coordinates with the Project and/or Program Manager to ensure problem solution and user satisfaction. Make recommendations, if needed, for approval of major systems installations. Prepare milestone status reports and deliveries/presentations on the system concept to colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives. Provide daily supervision and direction to support staff.|
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Provide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments. Establish goals and plans that meet project objectives. Has domain and expert technical knowledge. Will direct and control activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met. Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management. Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation. May supervise others.
Must have a Master's Degree.
Must have at least 15 years of relevant experience.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be a U. S. Citizen.
Approximately 10% travel will be required.
